ROBOTICS FOR KIDS BEGINNER LEVEL - 8 Weeks
This class features hands-on solutions to ignite children’s natural desire to explore and discover. Students will learn robotics with LEGO Education’s newest technology. Build snapping alligators, race cars, and spinning robots, students will then program them with the award-winning programming software. Students will learn subjects related to math, science, technology, and engineering, which will help in improving and developing their 21st-century skills, like problem solving, collaboration and communication.

ROBOTICS CHALLENGE WORKSHOP- 8 Weeks
The Next Generation of Engineers.....Using programmable robots created by MIT Media Laboratory and LEGO education, learning will be fun. This class introduces intermediate level topics in building and programming robots using the Lego Mindstorms Robotics System. Students will experience and practice mechanical design, construction, programming and teamwork skills. This class is a good preparation for students interested in robotics competitions at the league level or join this school team.

EFK ROBOTICS ACADEMY- 8 Weeks
The EFK Robotics Academy offers hands-on, minds-on robotics curriculum supported by the latest research and innovation. Students will construct authentic, open-ended designs to meet real-world challenge.  Robotics challenge teaches important skills in foundational mathematics, engineering, programming, problem-solving, creative thinking, and computational thinking. This course is perfect for students wanting a future in Robotics or Coding.  Each student will have a robot and iPad to program and construct.

What does your brain look like?  How does your circulatory system work?  Find out these answers by exploring human anatomy.  Delve into the medical industry and learn how various organs function by dissecting a frog, cow eye, sheep heart, kidney and brain.

This program is a powerful combination of assessment and instruction that works effectively together to improve student's reading comprehension. By focusing on 12 core strategies, the lessons give students the essential tools they need to improve their reading comprehension skills.

BUILDING COMPETENT, CONFIDENT WRITERS-8 Weeks 
Evidence-based writing has a new importance in today's rigorous standards. Designed to address the demands of the standards, our writing program interweaves the writing standards with grade-level science and social studies themes to develop thoughtful, analytical writers. Through teacher-led instruction that fosters independence, students engage actively with source texts, learning to research for evidence and acquiring writing strategies that last for life.

TEST READY MATH -8 Weeks  
Prepare our students with authentic math problem-solving practice for today's standards-based tests.  The lesson focuses on math questions that closely mirror the types of problems on standardized tests to improve test scores. Students review and practice: Computation in the context of problem-solving and math writing, students explain their solutions to math reasoning problems.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD- 8 Weeks
Students will participate in a variety of engineering and science projects for the 2018-2019 events.  These challenging and motivational events are well balanced between the various science disciplines of biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, engineering, and technology.

INVENTOR'S WORKSHOP- 8 Week
We have opened up the workshop for creativity, fun, and of course --engineering! Over the course of 8 weeks, students will invent new machines and explore creative design solutions using the Engineering Design Process. Discover how a wind-up toy works and design your own drawing robot.  Students will work collaboratively with peers to present their ideas in class.

ENGINEERING CLUB- 8 Weeks
Engineering students will explore Aerospace, Electrical, Civil, and Biomedical Engineering. Students will construct and launch rockets, design a balsa tower, create an electric vehicle, discover the importance of the human anatomy, DNA build and more. Using the Engineering Design Process, students will test and improve their designs.
